Many things can cause people to have poor vision or blindness. It is impossible to mention all of the causes and types of eye problems. Many things can be done to help correct poor vision, like glasses, contact lenses and surgery. Some people can see a little bit of light or movement. Some people can't see anything at all. Some people were born blind. Sometimes something happens during your life to cause blindness.

Some people can see correctly, but they have a learning disability so that they can't read very well.

People who are blind can use different things to help them read. Screen readers can read the text out loud that is on the computer. Talking books are made so people can listen. People who have learning problems also use these. Braille is a way to read books by using your fingers to feel bumps that represent letters.
