Children's Privacy Statement

The National Coalition for Students with Disabilities http://www.ncsd.org presents you with "The Able Crew". The purpose of this website is to advance the attitudes and awareness of the general public towards people with all disabilities, with their needs plus their abilities. This is an anti-stigma effort.

NCSD is committed to providing an educational, safe, and secure Web site for children, parents and teachers. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act and Rule that applies to individual identifiable information about a child that is collected online, such as full name, home address, email address, telephone number or any other information that would allow someone to identify or contact the child. The Act and Rule also cover other types of information -- for example, hobbies, interests and information collected through cookies or other types of tracking mechanisms -- when they are tied to individually identifiable information.

We do not collect any identifiable information on your children. Submission forms do NOT collect the e-mail address or identity of the person who sends it. We do not ask for any information other than the school level of the child. This is so that we can gear our response to that age group only.

If you e-mail to the webmaster, it will reveal the e-mail address of the sender. This information is NOT shared with anyone. The webmaster e-mail address is printed on this page only. Sender's e-mail addresses are retained only for the purpose of answering a question. After the questioned has been answered satisfactorily, the e-mail address will not be retained.

Our servers keep traditional statistical log data automatically from the visitor's computers that come to The Able Crew website. This information identifies the types of computer operating systems, the types of Internet browsers, which pages are accessed and how long, names of the users' Internet Service Providers, with IP address, and search engines used with keywords. It does not include any personal information that would identify the user. This information is used to help us improve and increase the exposure of our web site. We do not share or use any of this information to identify users.

We do not use cookies of any kind.

We do provide links to other websites and have no control over the policy of those sites. Please review each sites policies individually.
